The beach of Szigliget is not only considered large with its 18,000 square-metres but it also has one of the lake’s best views on top of being one of the most popular bathing spots. There are various other sights nearby, including the castle, the Avasi Church Ruins and the legendary bream fry joint of Oszi bácsi.
There’s a free parking lot and plenty of space for bikes. However, the nearest train station, Badacsonytördemic-Szigliget, is multiple kilometres away.
The beach has won many awards and it’s no wonder: on top of the usual facilities, it has a sunbathing terrace, sauna and shallow bay for children. The bad news is that it’s very crowded. It also functions as a public beach outside of the opening hours – but only at the visitors' own risk.
