The best thing about Badacsony is that most of the best wineries in the area are located within a small circle: a stone’s throw away from Laposa Winery, Szeremley Estate, and Villa Sandahl, Málik Cellar is a prime source of wines made with wooden barrel fermentation.

In addition to the classic varieties of Balaton, Zoltán Málik also produces Budai zöld, Zeus, and Bakator. The venue is open all year, offering wine tastings at two locations, the tasting room and the wine terrace with a stunning view of Lake Balaton.

The cellar is dog friendly, but as the owners have dogs, make sure to let them know before you arrive with your four-legged companion.

Tip: Those who wish to come by car should leave their vehicles in Kisfaludy utca and approach the winery on foot.
